SUP Yoga has become one of the most innovative & exciting styles of yoga in recent years. By appealing to all - whether you’re a complete novice or ‘seasoned yogi’ – and requiring absolutely no previous paddleboarding experience, it has become increasingly popular.

The practice of SUPYoga requires attention to breathing as well as body movements and the pace of this type of yoga requires you to slow down & focus more on your breathing. And although SUPYoga doesn’t require too much physical activity, it’s proven to train your body. The practice will strengthen your core areas such as arms, shoulders, legs, knees and quadriceps and being out in nature, in the fresh air will naturally release your ‘feel-good’ endorphin hormones.

We’re delighted that Emma will be leading our SUPYoga & Wellness programme. In addition to being a certified BSUPA SUPYoga Instructor, Emma brings a wealth of expertise being a Yoga practitioner and Personal Trainer with a passion for delivering a holistic and mindful experience.

Join our SUPYoga Instructor Emma for a regular, mindful & therapeutic SUPYoga practice, being immersed in natures ambience on our lovely stretch of the Upper Thames. Yoga on a floating board is the perfect low-impact exercise for all ages. SUPYoga is considered beneficial because it significantly improves balance, core strength, and overall body awareness due to the unstable surface of the paddleboard, essentially turning even basic yoga poses into a more challenging workout while also offering a unique experience of connecting with nature on the water, often leading to stress reduction and enhanced mindfulness; making it a great option for both physical fitness and mental wellbeing.

Absolutely no SUPYoga or paddleboarding experience required. Emma will introduce familiar yoga moves with everything done at a pace & level that is comfortable with you! All equipment is provided but you're welcome to bring your own board.

*Please Note: this is NOT a paddleboarding lesson. If you have paddling experience, you're more than welcome to paddle-out afterwards (additional 1hr board hire charge of £15.00 payable on the day).
